Classical Concerts
Recording with
Score-Aware Precision
Welcome to Orchestra Production,
classical concert recording,
powered by Notation AI.
With over 14 years of hands-on experience filming classical concerts for orchestras, we understand the artistic, technical, and financial challenges of traditional production.
That’s why we developed Notation AI, a score-aware automation system that directs
multi-camera orchestra concert recordings with precision and consistency, following the musical score in real time.

Used by orchestras in the US and Europe. Discussed at Classical:NEXT, the League of American Orchestras, Association of California Symphony Orchestras (ACSO), and Orchestra Now, and featured by Symphony.org and Das Orchester.de
One System, Multiple Ways to Share Your Music
Notation adapts to the real needs of orchestras, concert halls, festivals, and competitions, from live concert recording and streaming to in-house projection, promotional videos, and long-term archival content.
The entire video production can be handled by one trained operator, significantly reducing complexity and costs while maintaining professional, score-aware results.
This makes it possible to share performances and create promotional content for every concert, even with limited budgets, without the expense of large crews or traditional production workflows.

Live Concert Recording & Online Streaming
Live concert recording and online streaming allow orchestras and artists to reach audiences beyond the concert hall, increasing visibility and engagement without added complexity.
Automated multi-camera concert video production delivers consistent, professional-quality results at a lower cost, making regular streaming practical and sustainable.
This approach extends the life of each performance, strengthens audience connections, and keeps the focus on the music rather than the technical process.

In-House Projection & Big Screen Display
In-house projection and big screen displays deepen the audience’s connection to the music by allowing them to see the performers as they listen, creating a more immersive concert experience.
With Notation, concert halls and festivals can deliver live concert visuals effortlessly, enhancing audience engagement without the need for large crews or repeated production costs.

Archival & Promotional Video Content
For archival and promotional use, video production must follow the musical score to capture dynamic moments such as forte and piano with the correct visual emphasis.
Score-aware camera direction ensures that musical intensity, expression, and emotion are translated accurately on screen, creating videos that truly reflect the performance.
This approach allows orchestras to build meaningful video archives and compelling promotional content that continues to resonate with audiences long after the concert ends.

How it works
Step 1
Notation AI “reads” the musical score and understands what is happening in the music in real time.
Step 2
Based on the musical score, the system identifies which musicians or sections are playing and maps their positions on stage.
Step 3
The cameras move and switch automatically, following the music with precision and consistency.
Step 4
A single trained operator oversees the process, ensuring professional, broadcast-quality results.

When Cameras Understand the Music
Out of real production needs and years of score-based concert direction, Notation AI was created.
Notation AI is a score-aware concert video production system that automates multi-camera filming by following the musical score in real time. The system understands musical structure, cues, and instrumentation, allowing cameras to focus on the right musicians at the right moment, with broadcast-level precision and minimal human intervention.
By combining musical intelligence with automation, Notation AI dramatically reduces crew size and production complexity while preserving artistic accuracy. What once required a full team, camera operators, a live director, and a score assistant can now be achieved with a streamlined setup and predictable workflow.
Today, Orchestra Production integrates Notation AI into both on-site productions and long-term partnerships with orchestras. The system supports live streaming, in-hall projection, archival recording, and digital distribution, enabling orchestras to produce more content, more often, without compromising musical integrity.
We believe high quality concert video should be accessible, repeatable, and sustainable. Notation AI is not a replacement for musical understanding; it is built on it.
Where Musical Experience Meets Intelligent Automation
Our Story
Orchestra Production was founded by Karen Khachatryan after more than a decade of hands-on experience in classical music video and audio production. From the very beginning, the mission has been clear: to capture classical music with precision, respect for the score, and a deep understanding of how musicians perform on stage.
The journey began in 2011 from Yerevan, Armenia, where extensive experience was built recording symphony orchestras, opera, ballet, festivals, competitions, and international tours. Over the years, these productions have been broadcast and distributed worldwide on leading classical music platforms and television networks.
In 2017, Orchestra Production expanded internationally, establishing a base in California and working closely with orchestras and venues across Europe and the United States. Through years of collaboration with conductors, soloists, and orchestras, one principle consistently shaped the work: every note matters, and the camera must follow the music — not the other way around.
As digital distribution became essential and demand for video content increased, traditional multi-camera concert production revealed its limits. High costs, large crews, and complex logistics made frequent, sustainable production difficult for many orchestras. This challenge became the turning point for what came next.
