About

Composed by Aram Khachaturian, “Gayane” is the first-ever Armenian folk ballet and is considered a masterpiece of the acclaimed 20th-century composer. With rich folk elements incorporated into classical music, the four-act ballet is about a quadrangle love story and a battle between the good and the evil taking place in a Soviet-era collective farm in Armenia. Orchestra Team filmed the live performance of “Gayane” by the Armenian National Opera & Ballet Theater. In recording this live performance of “Gayane”, we filmed in a dynamic way and focused on capturing the ballet’s theatrical aspects, as well as its physical motions and aerial flights of its full-cast stage.
